Karate Gradings

Students progress will be evaluated at regular interval in gradings.
A new grade will reward successful students.
Gradings performed by visiting Japanese Karate masters occur twice yearly (generally in April and November).
In between, high ranking Irish Sensei (Instructors) can perform gradings if there are students ready to grade.
The technical requirements for each grade can be found in the SKIF Syllabus.
There are nine grades or 'Kyu' before the black belt.
